Navigating the pathway to treatment can feel overwhelming. At Paloma Health, our specialist NHS ADHD medication service provides tailored titration and ongoing monitoring to help your child thrive.
Please note: Our medication service is currently only available to children and young people who have received an ADHD diagnosis through a Paloma Health NHS ADHD assessment.

Diagnosed with ADHD by our team
If your child has received a diagnosis of ADHD from our team, ADHD medication may be discussed as a treatment option in your child's outcome call.
Agreed together as the next step
If it is agreed between your child's assessor, yourself and your child, your child will be transferred to our ADHD medication service.
Not yet assessed by Paloma Health
Your child will need an NHS ADHD assessment with us first. Any NHS GP in England can refer your child to us under NHS Right to Choose. Talking to your GP →

How our service works
How our service works
Three stages take your child from an agreed treatment decision to settled, monitored medication with repeat prescriptions sent straight to your pharmacy.
Stage 1
Eligibility
If your child has received a diagnosis of ADHD from our team, ADHD medication may be discussed as a treatment option in your child's outcome call.
If it is agreed between your child's assessor, yourself and your child, your child will be transferred to our ADHD medication service.
Stage 2
Titration
You and your child will meet regularly with a prescriber and gradually adjust the dose over six weeks.
We will regularly gather feedback from the:

Young Person
This feedback helps to track progress across home and classroom environments.
Stage 3
Monitoring
After titration you and your child will have regular check-ins with a prescriber to ensure that the medication is helping with your child's ADHD symptoms.
Repeat prescriptions will be sent straight to your local pharmacy, no GP requests needed.

What to expect during titration
We understand that the journey to finding the right ADHD medication for your child can be daunting. Here's what you can expect throughout titration.
Online questionnaires
Completed by you, your child's school and your child, so the prescriber can see how each dose is working across settings
Prescriber appointments
You and your child will meet regularly with a prescriber and gradually adjust the dose over six weeks.
20 minute appointments
Physical health checks
Height, weight, heart rate and blood pressure are recorded regularly throughout titration so treatment stays safe as the dose changes.
At each review
Ongoing monitoring
Regular check-ins with a prescriber, and repeat prescriptions sent straight to your local pharmacy, no GP requests needed.
After titration
The Paloma Portal
Throughout your child's NHS ADHD medication journey, you will have access to our Paloma Content Hub with valuable information and support, curated by our prescribers.

Hybrid Exeter pathway, for children aged 5 to 18
Have your child's observation appointment in person at our Exeter clinic. The remaining appointments are held online.
Ask your GP for a referral to the "Hybrid Exeter Pathway".

Hybrid Exeter pathway, for children aged 2 to 4
Have your child's observation appointment in person at our Exeter clinic. Children aged between 2 and their 5th birthday must first be assessed by a community paediatrician who recommends them for an autism assessment prior to referral.
Ask your GP for a referral to the "Hybrid Exeter Pathway".

Have your child's observation appointment in person at our Norwich clinic. If your GP is based on Norfolk & Suffolk, your GP will need to contact us directly rather than using our online form.
