All waiting times


Your Integrated Care Board is the NHS body that funds your child's care. It is set by your GP practice, not your home address. Not sure what ICB you belong to? Ask your GP practice.

Waits are measured from the day we receive all social context questionnaires to the day of the first assessment appointment. They are estimates based on our current supply in these areas.

Please note: if you are willing to travel to either of our in-person clinics for an assessment, you can request a hybrid assessment from your GP regardless of your location.

Which pathway is right for your child?

Requesting a Right to Choose referral

In England you have a legal right to choose which NHS provider assesses your child, as long as they hold an NHS contract. Choosing us does not affect any other NHS care your child recieves.

Collect school reports, direct teacher feedback regarding attention and behaviour, SENCO notes, or any other supporting medical documents.

To help you navigate this process, we have created a comprehensive referral document. This step-by-step guide is designed to make your preparation as smooth as possible and gives you clear, actionable advice on what to do if your GP refuses to make a referral.

Know your right to choose

If your GP agrees that your child is showing signs of ADHD or autism and is willing to make a referral to an NHS ADHD or autism assessment service, you have the legal right to choose which NHS provider you are referred to. You must explicitly choose Paloma Health to be referred to our service.
Your GP is the only person who can make this referral—schools cannot refer to NHS Right to Choose services.

We have also provided a downloadable letter template that you can customise and send directly to your GP practice to request your childs autism or ADHD assessment referral under the NHS Right to Choose pathway to Paloma Health

Wait times move week to week. Factors such as local funding, minimum waits, pathway choice, and delays on receiving information from school can all affect the wait time.
